Lou Harrison Percussion Instrument Collection

The Lou Harrison Percussion Instrument Collection is a set of instruments owned or made by Lou Harrison during his long career as a composer, musician, and artist. It was donated to and is supervised by William Winant, who was a longtime collaborator of Harrison’s towards the later portion of his career. The collection is housed on the campus of Mills College in Oakland, CA.

On multiple occasions, I have had the opportunity to visit the collection and Willie at Mills. The following represents a catalogue of the instruments that I created during these visits. Please reach out to myself or Willie should you have any questions.
